Trading rules and what it really costs
The ±15% daily band, T+2, no short selling — and the commission, SEBON fee, DP fee and tax on every trade. · ⏱ 3 min
Three rules shape every price
- The daily band (circuit): no stock can close more than 15% above or below the previous close in one session. It was raised from 10% to 15% in 2026. Big moves therefore come over several days.
- T+2 settlement: shares bought on Monday reach your DEMAT on Wednesday, when the money is also taken. Sale money arrives on a similar timetable.
- No short selling: you can only sell shares already settled in your DEMAT. There is no way here to sell first and buy back later.
